Surrey Schools Young Carer Awareness Training: bitesize
Our expert staff run free training sessions, online, for anyone working in a Surrey school who’d like to know more about supporting young carers.
This bitesize version of our Young Carer Awareness Training is 45 minutes long, and is aimed at those staff who’ve completed the original training and would like a refresher, or for schools renewing their Angel Award. Also for staff who want a quick overview but can’t commit to the full-length session.
This session covers:
- young carers’ lives and challenges
- identification in school – and why early identification is crucial
- best practice in support
- our Angel Award framework for schools
- support for schools, and young carers, from Action for CarersQ&As
